Peppery and deep, there are tones of blackberry, black cherry, rosemary, thyme, and layer upon layer of spice. The palate is just as impressive – deep and brooding dark fruit forms a foundation with ripe but plentiful tannins to bring real backbone and structure. This is layered with sweet and savoury spices and game, with high tones of white pepper and violets. This superbly complex, refined and serious wine is a knockout. Very impressive.
