RATINGS

93+ Stephen Tanzer

Musky, soil-driven aromas and flavors of raspberry, dried flowers, leather and minerals. At once fine-grained and penetrating, conveying outstanding density without any impression of weight... Spreads out and builds on the back end, with the full, ripe tannins totally buffered by the wine's sheer extract.

92The Wine Advocate

...very refined and detailed bouquet with cold stone scents filtering through the pure red berry fruit...palate is well balanced with quite a lot of extraction...deep and rounded strawberry and raspberry notes, slightly lower in acidity with plenty of fruité on the opulent finish. Damn delicious and seductive.

16.5Jancis Robinson

Dark red and aromatic and just a touch spicy. Savoury and dark-fruited on the palate, a hint of lapsang suchong tea on the finish. Unusual. Dry, refined tannins and already rounded.

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, 1er (Premier) Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
