Estimate
Shows terrific depth to the aromas and flavors of black currant, blueberry, graphite, earth and baking spices. Delivers weight and length, with overall balance and a long aftertaste that echoes the core of sweet fruit.
The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins on the entry, quite sappy in the mouth so that you can feel those saliva glands working toward the finish.
Very airy scents of raspberry, cherry, fresh herbs, mint and cinnamon; smells like a pastry. Then a bit less taut than the Brûlées, showing little in the way of easy sweetness but also displaying less inner-mouth tension than the Brûlées.
Deeply fruited on the nose and layered with the sweetness of discreet oak. Much riper on the palate, less refined than the Gevrey Corbeaux but more density.
