RATINGS

94Wine Enthusiast

A heady, tropical touch of passion fruit clings to the more forward citrus notes on the nose of this wine. Lemon and tangerine notes play on the svelte, linear palate. This is totally refreshing and enlivening, with an almost electric lemon verve.

93Vinous / IWC

Crunchy apple and juicy, strongly rind-inflected honeydew melon are laced with mint and fennel on a polished palate. Smoky, incisive nips of Szechuan peppercorn, sizzling lime zest, mineral salts and crystalline stony impingements grippingly, invigoratingly and mouthwateringly extend a finish further enlivened by a generous dose of fresh lime.

93James Suckling

The sliced lemon and green apple character with papaya are impressive. Full body, yet agile and energetic. Vivid fruit at the finish.

92+ The Wine Advocate

...displays warm, ripe and intense Riesling fruit that is perfectly intermixed with coolish, smoky-mineral flavors. On the palate, this is a pure, fresh, mineral, beautifully linear and finessed Riesling that reflects the cooler part of the Loibenberg. The finish remains fresh, shows nice grip and salinity as well as the classic fruit concentration of a cooler vintage.

TYPE

White Wine, Riesling, Smaragd

This white variety originated in Germany. It’s known for its strong flowery aromas and high acidity. Please note Rieslings can have dramatic differences as the grape can be used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet and sparkling wines.
