Crushed lime, lemon zest, crushed rocks, and beautiful white grapefruit notes all emerge from this racy, beautifully concentrated, focused white that checks in with the crème de la crème of the vintage.
It opens with lovely lemon tart, fresh grapefruit and pineapple with a waft of honeysuckle. The medium-bodied palate is very tightly knit with wonderfully crisp acid and a citrusy finish.
This has a full and enticing feel, with a shortbread note leading off, followed by lemon curd, peach, tangerine, salted butter and yellow apple flavors. Light verbena and heather hints show up through the alluring finish.
...strict, terse, mineral-driven bouquet, full of energy and very focused...balanced palate offers Golden Delicious apple, white pepper and light pear notes on the entry. Displaying good depth, and perhaps one of the spicier dry white Bordeaux, this feels very long and assured toward the finish. Superb.
