RATINGS

The core of spicy currant, earthy anise and cedary oak flavors folds together nicely on the finish. Best cellared into 2000 to 2001, when it should be smoother and softer. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.

One of the most widely grown grape varieties, it can be found in nearly every wine growing region. A cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a hardy vine that produces a full-bodied wine with high tannins and great aging potential.
