Estimate
A gorgeous effort, rich, juicy, plush, polished, refined and distinctive. Seductive from the initial aromas to the last sip, with gobs of currant, blackberry, melted licorice, spice and light mocha.
The wine has plenty of cedary, Christmas fruitcake notes intermixed with licorice, blackcurrants, dusty/earthy undertones and a touch of background smoke and oak.
Dark cherry, smoke, leather, licorice and tobacco flesh out nicely in the glass to give the wine attractive nuance.
