...beguiling in its complexity & singularity, smoked nuts, waxed lemons, crushed rocks & coriander seed with hints of crusty bread, honeysuckle, baked peaches & clover honey. Full-bodied, full-on creamy & densely laden... wonderful length.
Racy and unctuous... one of the most viscous wines in this range... opulent, dense... it is impressive, even at this early stage. The CIX gets more new oak than most of the other Chardonnays, and yet the wood is very nicely integrated.
Offers a long embrace of oak, with subtle toast amid the taut green apple, fig and melon flavors, easing on the finish.
