Ripe and rich aromas of blackberries and blueberries. Tar undertones. Full-bodied, very structured and flavorful with lots of round tannins and a fruity finish...very impressive.
...exquisite, very seductive bouquet with disarming purity: black cherries, blueberry, violets and limestone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with very refined tannin, the acidity perfectly judged and lending this Côte de Brouilly such finesse and precision...feels long and tender in the mouth with a residue of sea salt on the finish.
Pungent, mineral-tinged cherry and cassis scents take on a spicy flourish as the wine opens up. Dense dark berry flavors are underscored by a vein of juicy acidity; a suave floral nuance emerges on the back half. Concentrated but lithe as well, revealing no rough edges and displaying a musky licorice quality that carries through the strikingly long, subtly tannic, focused finish.
