RATINGS

100The Wine Advocate

...aromas of blueberry liqueur, violet, lavender and turned earth with touches of forest floor, mint leaves and coffee beans. The full-bodied palate explodes with layer after layer of nuanced blue fruits, with savory undertones hinting at more to come as it matures in bottle. It has abundant, finely grained tannins, bursts of fresh acidity highlighting its floral perfume and a very long, layered finish.

100Jeb Dunnuck

Thrilling notes of white pepper, red and black fruits, cured meats, sandalwood, and leather all soar from the glass...hits the palate with full-bodied richness, perfect balance, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. The mouthfeel, balance, and length on this are straight-up stunning, and you should beg, borrow, or steal to try this.

93-95Vinous / IWC

...real powerhouse. Inky and explosive...envelopes the palate with notable depth...

PRODUCER

Andremily

Andremily Winery is a new venture by Jim Binn, a former cellar master at Sine Qua Non. Binn established his Santa Barbara area winery in 2011 and named it for his two children, Andrew and Emily. Binn leases specific acreage within the prestigious White Hawk and Larner Vineyards in Santa Barbara County, and had his first harvest in 2012. Only 250 cases of Syrah were made and it was available primarily through mailing list. Binn focuses on Rhone varietals and has earned a reputation for his winemaking skills, having honed his skills working for Manfred Krankl, the rock star-style proprietor/winemaker at SQN, starting in 1996.
