RATINGS

91Robert M. Parker Jr.

Reveals notions of crushed rocks, menthol, blueberries, raspberries, sweet cherries, and subtle smoke and earth in the background. It is a medium-bodied, elegant Cabernet Franc with serious flavor intensity.

91Stephen Tanzer

Exhilarating floral aromas of blueberry, licorice and cinnamon complicated by leather and earth. Juicy, sweet and lively, with an intense flavor of allspice and terrific lift. Elegantly styled and very fresh on the lingering aftertaste.

TYPE

Red Wine, Cabernet Franc

This is a parent grape to Cabernet Sauvignon. It most likely originates from Basque country. It is an excellent blending grape, known for making the exquisite Cheval-Blanc. Franc is a little hardier on a vine than Sauvignon, but drinks smoothly at the table.
