REGION

France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chapelot

Chapelot is a parcel within the Premier Cru vineyard of Montee de Tonnerre, in the Chablis appellation in northern Burgundy. Chapelot is considered one of the most outstanding of Chablis’ Premier Cru parcels, and many believe the wines sourced from Chapelot can rival Chablis’ Grand Crus. Chapelot is on the right side of the Serein River, just under the appellation’s Grand Cru vineyards. The domaines of Raveneau and Guy Robin are among those who produce well-regarded Chapelot Chablis.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay, Chablis Premier Cru

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
