Flavorful, graceful and elegant, this beautifully proportioned wine balances plum, raspberry and strawberry flavors against nuances of oak, offering depth and power at the same time...watch it develop into a beauty.
Clos des Reas is a 5.25-acre Premier Cru vineyard in Vosne-Romanee, in Burgundy’s Cote de Nuits. The walled vineyard is a monopole of Domaine Michel Gros. Clive Coates has written that the vineyard “is a very good one” producing “wine that is not a heavyweight, but has the pure fragrance of Pinot Noir at its most elegant.”
This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
