Estimate
This has long, smooth and majestic style with a wealth of peaches. Very smooth and ripe with a grilled-hazelnut finish.
On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with lovely texture, considerable mid-palate amplitude and a bright line of acidity, concluding with a firm, salty finish that balances its somewhat gourmand attack.
The palate is well balanced and quite saline on the entry, hints of blackcurrant developing in the glass with disarming poise and grace towards the finish.
...broad-shouldered and powerful flavors possess plenty of size, weight and mid-palate density thanks to the abundant level of dry extract that also coats the palate on the overtly powerful if slightly warm finish.
This producer now sells its wines under the name Domaine Francois Raveneau.
