Crushed stone and charcoal-graphite nuances accent deep, dark cassis fruit on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is firm and tannic, even a touch astringent on the finish, but backed by impressive reserves of fruit.
...heady, opulent and explosive, with a huge mid-palate of fruit and all the structure to match. Dark red fruit, herbs, mocha and licorice... Mountain tannins are decidedly potent but also pretty much buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit.
