PRODUCER

Alana Tokaj is part of a new wave of young Tokaj producers creating a renaissance for the famous Hungarian dessert wine. The estate is owned by brothers Attila and Andras Nemeth. Attila is winemaker and he studied agriculture in Hungary before working for California wineries. In 1998 he returned to Hungary and not long after that the brothers started the 54-acre estate. Since their debut release Alana Tokaj has earned impressively high ratings. Wine Spectator rated the 2005 Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos at 95 pts.
