RATINGS

94Wine Enthusiast

...ripe, rounded wine...mineral texture and the concentration of the ripe yellow fruit...

93The Wine Advocate

...has a clean and precise bouquet with scents of yellow flower, nectarine and white peach—all very seductive and pure...palate is clean and precise with a fine thread of acidity, a subtle marine influence coming through and a precise, quite spicy finish that lingers long in the mouth.

92Wine Spectator

Peach, lanolin, vanilla and sweet baking spice notes herald this elegant white, converging on the pinpoint, lemony finish. Excellent length.

91.5CellarTracker

90+ Vinous / IWC

...has a fragrant, lightly oaked bouquet with a touch of reduction that works well...taut, linear palate is well balanced, presenting a fine bead of acidity and hints of orange peel and stem ginger.

PRODUCER

Christian Moreau

Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils traces its roots to the early 19th century, when Jean Joseph Moreau founded a wine merchant company in Chablis. In the 1980s the family sold the business, but in 2002 the family bought it back. Today Fabien Moreau, who earned a degree in winemaking in Dijon and worked in winemaking in New Zealand before returning to Burgundy, is Managing Director and head winemaker at the Domaine. The domaine has 30 acres in Chablis, including Grand Crus in Les Clos des Hospices, a monopole, Les Clos, Valmur, Vaudesir and Blanchot. Wine Advocate has complimented the domaine and called it a Chablis “success story.” Wine Advocate calls the domaine “the poster children for a new Chablis quality consciousness…”
