The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a killer line of acidity, and firm but fine, satin-textured tannins. ...complex and perfumed bouquet soars from the glass in a blaze of red and black plums, black raspberries, black cherries, a very complex base of soil tones, raw cocoa, Vosne spices, musky floral tones and nutty new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a sappy core, great mineral drive, fine-grained tannins and outstanding focus and grip on the very long, very, very complex finish. Great juice.
...complexity and anticipation that you might expect from a grand cru: a touch of spice, dusty, chalky and with rare tannic finesse. Mineral but fruity and such incredible purity. There’s a hint of the oak but it is very much in the background. Fine-boned, bone dry and with incredible length.
