There is huge depth and serious extract to the fruit, with equally big tannins to provide support. Layers of intense fruit are intermingled with persistent saline notes on the vibrant, finely chiseled finish.
A well-layered and dense nose features notes of anise, earth, underbrush, violets and both red and blue pinot fruit aromas. There is very good volume to the large-scaled and dense yet quite supple flavors that possess excellent length.
Sappy, saline and pure, with rich, concentrated flavors of ripe black fruits and minerals. Finishes very long, with dusty tannins and good stony lift.
A little softer than some. Sweet fruit rather than massive Roche expression. Very neat and well behaved but in reserve.
