...huge, lavish, concentrated nose of bergamot, Old Spice, grilled white peaches and layer after layer of rhubarb and pomegranate perfume...palate echoes this generosity with a medium-bodied, polished frame but offers refined, persistent acidity that tempers its incredibly layered and decadent nature...finishes with a long, detailed, layered finish that concludes on a fine-grained, graceful note.
Dark cherry/plum fruit, sweet spice, leather, tobacco and cured meats abound. Next to the other wines in this range, the Zampatti feels quite ripe and extroverted.
Mellow blackberry and black-cherry notes with violets and a light creaminess to the texture. High, fresh, mouth-watering acidity. Elevated levels of tannin but ripe and round in texture. Long, spicy, tangy finish – a bit salty and earthy.
