Estimate
...a rich, spicy 'biscuity' bouquet...sweetness of fully ripe grapes and alcohol, a mouthfilling flavour, very good tannins and acidity. Complete.
...showed plenty of blackcurrant and fig fruit with an accent of smoke and leather and just a suggestion of forest floor and truffle. The texture was surprisingly rich...hung together nicely and lingered like a caress on the palate.
Tasted from magnum. This bottle blends spicy, nutmeglike aromas with abundant fruit flavors and meaty undertones. It is plenty firm and tannic, but not overly so. The finish is exceptionally long, too.
...bouquet is utterly refined...it has a sense of authority and purpose. Vestiges of faded dark fruit mix with scents of an antique mahogany bureau and tobacco...medium-bodied...undoubtedly beautifully balanced with perfectly judged acidity.
With classic cedar and graphite scents and a faint touch of leather on the nose...very fine delineation...palate is balanced, pure and crisp with graphite-infused black fruit... It just seems to "glide" on the finish.
