Inky aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry pie, licorice, mint, violet and crushed stone. Juicy and penetrating but also showing lovely sweetness and thickness of texture--and finer-grained than the Petits Vougeot...displays lovely acidity and mid-palate definition and finishes with suave tannins and sneaky rising length.
...palate is more readable with mainly red berry fruit, mixed with hoisin and a faint oyster shell influence.
Really charming and packed full of fruit but with good structure and acidity too. Some delicacy.
