RATINGS

92Vinous / IWC

...laced with lemon, white flowers, chalk and mint, all of which convey freshness and energy. Medium-bodied and nicely focused...

92James Suckling

Very attractive, lightly spiced poached-pear aromas with a smoothly rendered palate that carries a very neatly held, fresh lemon and apple finish in upbeat style.

91The Wine Advocate

...notes of spring honey, dried acacia and baby’s breath flowers with crushed stone, dried apple skin and oodles of white peach fruit at the core. Light to medium-bodied, it's mineral-tinged in the mouth with clean, pure fruits and floral notions, framed with juicy acidity and finishing long.

REGION

United States, California, Sonoma, Sonoma Coast

Sonoma Coast AVA runs from San Pablo Bay in the south to Mendocino County in the north. It includes 7,000 vineyard acres and earned AVA status in 1987. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean means it gets double the rainfall of nearby inland appellations and the ocean gives the appellation a relatively cool climate. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can thrive in these conditions, and there are numerous producers making critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
