The lead-pencil and dark-berry aromas are very persuasive here, and aromatic! Medium to full body with juicy fruit, velvety tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Creamy and pretty.
Concentrated, juicy and lifted - this really combines ripe summer berry fruit with a menthol lift and fine, grippy tannins to give a wide mouthfeel with persistence... Feels well worked, finessed but still with lots of flavour and polish, ending slightly salty with a liquorice tang. Detailed and easy to like.
...offers brambly red fruit with touches of sous-bois, pressed flowers and cedar. It opens nicely in the glass with suggestions of dark chocolate in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and accents of black pepper and clove.
