RATINGS

92The Wine Advocate

...scented of quince, white flowers and crushed mineral notes with tones of beeswax and crushed almonds...palate is bright and expressive with creamy, nutty fruits imbued with vibrating mineral character and shimmery acidity, finishing long and lifted.

92James Suckling

Aromas of chamomile, dried lemon peel, fresh cotton and sweet thyme. Medium-bodied with a supple texture. Bright, with citrus and subtle peachy character. Vibrant and crystal-clear. A charmer.

91Jeb Dunnuck

Pretty stone fruits, honeyed pineapple, and white flower notes...medium-bodied, nicely textured, balanced beauty... It has a distinct salinity and mineral edge...

90Vinous / IWC

Bright and nicely focused...energetic and sculpted from start to finish. Lemon peel, almond, dried flowers and sage all grace this layered Chardonnay.

REGION

United States, California, Sonoma, Sonoma Coast

Sonoma Coast AVA runs from San Pablo Bay in the south to Mendocino County in the north. It includes 7,000 vineyard acres and earned AVA status in 1987. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean means it gets double the rainfall of nearby inland appellations and the ocean gives the appellation a relatively cool climate. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can thrive in these conditions, and there are numerous producers making critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
