Estimate
Pure Chablis, a wine that has all the region’s hallmark freshness along with a firm, steely core. The wine is already balanced, with fruit fitting well with toast, vanilla and tangerine zest. Age for 3–4 years.
Outstanding... a fruit compote nose that displays a hint of exoticism that merges into extremely rich, full, frank and overtly powerful flavors that possess excellent volume, punch and vivacity on the exceptionally pure and driving finish.
...evinces crushed stone from nose to finish as well as salinity, but not the savory mineral nuances that make the best wines in this collection so appealing. There is admirable concentration and purity here.
Rich, with lemon custard, ripe apple, yellow plum and mineral notes mingling in the fleshy texture. A firm structure keeps this focused and long.
Aromas of lemon, grapefruit and mint. Nicely broad on the attack, then brisk and juicy in the middle; much more tightly wound than the Montmains but not hard. Sets the salivary glands aquiver on the end.
