RATINGS

93Wine Enthusiast

Meyer lemon, peanut oil, salted nuts, citrus and tangerine combine in a deep and intense palate...delicious...

92Vinous / IWC

Ripe pear, melon and tangerine aromas are complemented by suggestions of honey and buttered toast. Fleshy and expansive in the mouth, offering concentrated citrus and orchard fruit flavors along with candied ginger and toasty lees flourishes. Finishes with gentle grip, a repeating melon note and impressive, sappy persistence.

92James Suckling

...shows watermelon, pears and apricots. Medium to full body, polished texture and a smooth and long finish.

92Jeb Dunnuck

...plenty of minerality in its lime and citrus fruit characteristics. Clean, medium-bodied, nicely concentrated, and deliciously crisp and lively...

90.9CellarTracker

90The Wine Advocate

...scented of pink grapefruit, nectarine and green guava with hints of baker's yeast, struck match and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied, it fills the palate with satin-textured citrus and tropical fruit flavors, supported by lively acid and finishing with great freshness.

REGION

United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley

Willamette Valley AVA was established in 1983, and it is the oldest appellation in Oregon. Oregon’s modern wine industry began in the Willamette Valley in the 1960s when artists, vagabond winemakers, and U.C. Davis oenology graduates looking for new territory started their own, small, off-the-grid wineries. The appellation is the state’s largest, and it extends 175 miles from Columbia River on the Washington/Oregon border to just south of Eugene, near central Oregon. The Willamette River runs through the area, helping to give the appellation a mild year-round climate. There are six smaller sub-appellations within this AVA, but altogether the Willamette Valley has the largest concentration of wineries in Oregon, as well as the majority of the state’s most famous producers. Pinot Noir is king here, followed by Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling. To most admirers of Oregon Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley offers the most distinctive wine choices in the state.
