RATINGS

93The Wine Advocate

...reveal notes of green apple, pear, beeswax and orange rind. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with good depth and tension, lively acids and a fragrant finish.

92James Suckling

This has attractively vibrant and alluring, fresh white peaches and lemons, as well as some gently creamy and flinty complexity. The palate arrives in a very fresh and attractively concentrated style with bright lemons and grapefruit. Good acidity kick. Some grapefruit to close.

91.6CellarTracker

91+ Vinous / IWC

...has a well-defined bouquet of citrus fruit infused with touches of white flowers...palate is well balanced with a very saline entry, taut and poised, and quite tangy in the mouth. The pleasingly austere and mean finish is aloof, but you want more.

PRODUCER

Domaine Servin

Domaine Servin is a 75-acre estate in Chablis, Burgundy. It is owned by the Servin family and run by Francois Servin and his Australian brother-in-law, Mark Cameron. The vineyards include four Grand Crus and three Premier Crus, and most have been in the Servin family for many generations. The domain’s many Chablis bottlings consistently earn excellent reviews.

REGION

France, Burgundy, Chablis, Montee de Tonnerre

Montee de Tonnerre is a 15-acre Premier Cru parcel just east of the village of Chablis and just south of the Grand Crus. Montee de Tonnerre includes the important climats of Chapelot, Les Chapelots, Pied d’Aloup and Coted de Brechain. Robert M. Parker Jr. has written that “in blind tastings, this microparcel is often judged to be a Grand Cru. It is regrettable that its reputation is not better known…” The soil is a mixture of limestone, clay and fossilized oyster shells.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay, Chablis Premier Cru

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
