Estimate
Lovely and pure red fruit intermingles with and mulch-like aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, very cohesive and smooth, gently building towards a sapid finish.
...aromas of cassis, dark berries, orange rind and a deft framing of new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with powdery tannins and good energy, displaying good focus and structural finesse.
Rich and dark fruited, almost a little charry in a stony/mineral way rather than in an oaky way as Lafon doesn’t use much new oak on the premiers crus. Finely textured tannins adding to that mineral quality that becomes almost chalky on the finish.
