Oakville Winery was founded in 1877. In 1993 it was purchased by the Pelissa family, which owns and operates several wineries in the Napa area under the name Bonded Winery #9. Oakville makes Cabernet Sauvingon and Zinfandel. The Pelissa family traces its roots to Joseph and Mary Louise Pelissa, who purchased 35 acres in Calistoga in 1903. The family also owns and operates the Napa brands Oakville Winery and Elizabeth Rose. Ghost Block winery and Elizabeth Rose are also part of Bonded Winery #9.
