Domaine Gerard Charvin

Domaine Gerard Charvin is a 20-acre estate in Orange, in France’s Southern Rhone Valley. It is owned and operated by Gerard Charvin and his son Laurent. For many years the Charvins sold their cuvees to negociants, but they now keep cuvees made from their best plots for wines sold under their own label. About 90% of the domaine’s vineyards are planted to Grenache, with about 5% Mourvedre and the rest planted to white varietals. Robert M. Parker Jr. has written that “this is a dazzling source of top-notch Chateauneuf du Pape that deserves more recognition.”
