...Ripe and fragrant. Not a bit hot. Much superior to the Grands-Echezeaux. Very mellow, very lovely fruit. Real intensity, compexity and depth. Very, very long and lovely. This is very fine...

...Sweet. Harmonious, old fashioned nose. Very charming old wine with sweetness and velvety mushroomy character. A very good 1976. Complete and soothing. Long. A very agreeable surprise...

****Michael Broadbent

...St-Vivant fragrance and richness making one ignore its tannin...lean, dry, tannic...

The vineyard faces east, has a gentle incline and an elevation of 250 to 265 meters. The soil is clay and limestone. TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, Grand Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
