Charity Auction Supporting Oregon Vineyard Workers
Supporting Oregon Vineyard Workers Posted: 05/02/2021

To celebrate Oregon Wine Month, WineBid is hosting a charity auction of Oregon wines to benefit Oregon Vineyard Workers. Proceeds* from the auction are going to Oregon based charities, AHIVOY and  ¡SALUD! - learn more about the charities below.

AHIVOY

AHIVOY is a nonprofit organization creating opportunities and empowering Latinx and Hispanic vineyard workers of the Willamette Valley to overcome socioeconomic challenges.

We provide education and professional development, paving the way for our hardest-working community members to support their families and establish careers in the wine industry.

Visit AHIVOY to learn more.

¡SALUD!

¡Salud! was created by a group of Oregon winery owners and Tuality Healthcare physicians to address the hurdles faced by vineyard workers who cannot meet their basic healthcare needs.  The vast majority of field workers move from one crop to another.  Their temporary status with each employer makes them ineligible for health coverage.  Without insurance, these men, women, and their families often do not seek professional healthcare until their problems become acute.  Their knowledge of basic health education is limited, and they are overwhelmed by the maze of complex and confusing resources available in the medical system. ¡Salud!’s mission is to fill this gap.
Visit  ¡Salud! to learn more.

The charity auction starts May 2, 2021 at 7:20pm Pacific, and will run weekly throughout the month of May, or as long as there still donated lots for sale. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements throughout the month. Link to bid will be added to this page once the auction starts!

*93% of the item bid price will be passed on to the two charities. Purchase of wine is not tax deductible. Applies to auction items with the Oregon outline as seen in the image above.
