6) 2008 Cristal. Rated a perfect 100-points from James Suckling, Jeb Dunnuck, and Wine Enthusiast, Louis Roederer’s 2008 Cristal is powerful, yet poised, with impressive ageability. 

7) 1985 Krug Brut and Krug Clos du Mesnil. Krug’s structured style is made for long cellaring. Lovers of mature Champagnes will adore their textural, elegant 1985 offerings. 

8) 2009 Dom Pérignon, praised by the Wine Spectator for its “firm, crystalline” acidity, bringing wonderful lift to this ripe, concentrated vintage.

9) Newly listed Napa Wines. This week’s WineBid auction has loads of exciting new entries in the Napa fine wines department, from Screaming Eagle to Harlan Estate, and much more. Napa fine wine auction highlights include:

10) 2018 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon single bottles and a three-bottle, wood case lot. This “…undeniably stunning” beauty garnered a 100-point score from The Wine Advocate. 

11) Schrader Cellars. An noteworthy assortment of horizontals, including the Robert Parker 95-point Boar’s View Pinot Noir 2013 and 99-point 2018 Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon. 

12) 2007 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (also available in a three-bottle lot) is just reaching its peak. According to Robert Parker, this 100-point wine of “uncommon purity and elegance” also has the potential to cellar for a further 15 years.

13) First Growth Bordeaux. From exceptional vintages to mixed-case horizontals, Bordeaux collectors will find a wealth of choice up for WineBid auction this week. Among a multitude of exciting wine auction lots, watch out for the:

14) 1959 Château Lafite-Rothschild. Revered by critics across the globe, the 1959 was dubbed “a legend of the century” with “an (almost) unlimited lifetime” by Jancis Robinson. 

15) 2016 First Growth Trio Collector’s Set. A three-bottle lot of Château Lafite-Rothschild, Château Mouton-Rothschild, and Château Margaux from the outstanding 2016 vintage.

16) 1996 Château Latour. Acquired from its original owner, and stored in optimal conditions, the 1996 Latour “displays the potential for 50-75 years of longevity” according to Robert Parker.

17) Vega Sicilia Unico. This Ribera del Duero estate traces its roots back to 1864. The Unico Gran Reserva is a Tempranillo-based wine, blended with Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for more than a decade, Unico is only produced in the best vintages. On the WineBid auction block this week:

18) 1962 vintage. Imbued with mesmerizing tertiary complexity, this venerable vintage is widely agreed to be among the best of the century.

19) 2004 three-bottle lot. Hailed “a superb vintage” by The Wine Advocate, the 2004 is ripe and concentrated, with balanced freshness, and superior ageing potential.  

20) 2009 vintage. A hot growing season refreshed by mid-September rains, yielding a charming Unico with “terrific concentration…natural freshness and effortless power” in the eyes of James Suckling.
