Domaine La Roquete

Domaine La Roquète is owned and operated by one of the most legendary wine families in the Rhone Valley, the Bruniers. The Bruniers have been making wine in the challenging plateau known as La Crau since the late 19th century, and they are the founders of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s famous Domaine du Vieux Tèlègraphe. The Bruniers acquired the 71-acre Domaine la Roquète (then called Domaine La Roquette) in 1986, updating the winemaking facilities and enlarging the estate to 100 acres. The estate’s three main vineyards are on a plateau just north of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the terroirs are primarily sand, clay and small stones. Domaine La Roquète makes red and white wines. The reds are primarily Grenache blended with Mourvedre and Syrah. The whites are Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc.
