Château Godeau

Château Godeau is a St.-Emilion Grand Cru estate with 18 acres under vine. Since 2012 the estate has been owned by Alberic and Agnes Florisoone. Stephane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu are consulting winemakers. The estate is at 338 feet, which is one of the highest slopes of the appellation, in the commune of Saint Laurent des Combes. The limestone vineyards are planted 90% to Merlot, with 10% planted to Cabernet Franc. The wines win praise from reviewers, though the estate is not well known in the U.S.
