Bodegas Monteviejo

Bodegas Monteviejo was founded in 2001 by French vignerons led by Catherine Pere-Verge, proprietor of Château Le Gay in Bordeaux. Wine consultant Michel Rolland was involved in the founding, and today the estate is run by Pere-Verge’s son, Henry Parent. The estate-based winemaker is Marcelo Pelleriti, who was a musician and is now considered one of Argentina’s most talented winemakers. Wine Advocate has called Monteviejo’s wines “decadent and ravishing, modern wines that re voluminous and rich in the mouth, yet retain balance and freshness.” The estate makes many wines, from Malbec and Chardonnay to Torrontés and Bordeaux blends.
