RATINGS

92The Wine Advocate

...bursts onto the palate with blackberries, camphor, smoke, licorice and game. It boasts tremendous power and richness from start to finish. Layers of fruit saturate the palate on the dazzling finish...

92Wine Spectator

Inky and dark, showing huckleberry and blackberry flavors at the core, featuring plenty of details of dried lavender, white pepper, sarsaparilla, Earl Grey tea and espresso. Full-bodied, with a chewy finish.

92Vinous / IWC

Powerful aromas of blueberry, cherry liqueur & licorice... Lush & creamy with deep, expansive dark fruit preserve... smoky herbal & floral notes. Shows great heft and density, with strong finishing punch and lingering sweetness...

TYPE

Red Wine, Petite Sirah

Despite its popularity, this grape is quite rare. Less than 10,000 acres are planted worldwide, with the bulk in California. In France, the grape is referred to as Durif. Not to be confused with Syrah, Petite Sirah is a cross of Syrah and Peloursin. The result is darker and fuller.
