Reticent, very pure aromas of citrus skin, apple, wet stone, spearmint and spices. Spicy, quite dry and uncompromising; dense, fat, full and minerally.
Fine expression in this Chablis. It's ripe and focused, evoking lemon, mineral and even red berry aromas and flavors, picking up a hint of vanilla on the finish.
Ripe aromas of orchard fruits, especially apple and appealing spice undertones lead to rich, powerful, sappy flavors that have the best acidity and sense of minerality of any wine to this point plus an almost painfully intense finish.
This producer now sells its wines under the name Domaine Francois Raveneau.
