RATINGS

92Wine Spectator

A vibrant, succulent style, this red is laced with pure cherry and raspberry fruit, sporting light accents of earth and mineral.

89-91The Wine Advocate

...aromas of sweet berries, cherries, spices and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied and nicely concentrated, powdery tannins clamp down on the finish.

88-90Vinous / IWC

...little sur-maturité, very slight touches of prune filtering though the red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins, quite firm in the mouth with a slightly short finish.

16.5+ Jancis Robinson

Sweet red-cherry aroma. Lifted, vibrant...mouth-watering and brilliantly balanced with this firmer texture and less aromatic style.

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Beaune, Beaune, Les Boucherottes

Les Boucherottes is a 22-acre Premier Cru vineyard in the appellation of Beaune, in Burgundy’s Cote de Beaune. It is on the southern edge of the appellation, on a gentle slope that faces east. It is one of Beaune’s 44 vineyards that is either partly or entirely Premier Cru. Beaune has no Grand Cru.

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, 1er (Premier) Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
