A hint of vanilla signals this smooth red, framing cherry, raspberry and stone flavors...balanced and dynamic...lingering, firm finish.
Opening in the glass with aromas of plums and cassis mingled with subtle hints of peonies and spices, the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, succulent acids and fine, powdery tannins that gently assert themselves on the finish. It's a voluptuous, fruit-driven Pruliers from Gouges, and it will offer a broad drinking window.
...elegant bouquet of pure dark cherries and light loamy aromas; there is an admirable sense of cohesion here. The palate is fine-boned with impressive focus, the predominantly red fruit lightly spiced (clove and sage), and an energetic and persistent finish.
Wonderfully seductive nose – ripe, dark-fruited and generous. Then quite a contrast on the palate: quite oaky, a touch of char adding a savoury note.
