Estimate
...a striking bouquet of dark berries, blood orange, potpourri, exotic spices, cedar and peonies. Full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's deep and concentrated, with lively acids, supple tannins and a penetrating, rose-inflected finish. It's the best Corton that the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti has produced to date.
A ripe and very earthy nose speaks mostly of poached plum, spice and plenty of sauvage character. There is excellent volume and power if not the same mid-palate density of the best in the range to the big-bodied, muscular and energetic flavors that deliver very fine length on the serious, compact and youthfully austere finale.
