RATINGS

91The Wine Advocate

Showing fine grip on the finish, this mingles a touch of herbs with oak and finishes with some pop and power. Nicely structured and elegantly put together, its focused demeanor makes it a wine with finesse and persistence.

16.5Jancis Robinson

Lots of impact on the nose. Very sweet cherry fruit, quite thick. Bursts into juicy applause at the start, bright and very very piquant, then takes on a dusty veil of cedar and cinnamon and sweet paprika as it follows through to the end. Tannins are firm and supple, if a little bit drying towards the finish.

TYPE

Red Wine, Cabernet Franc

This is a parent grape to Cabernet Sauvignon. It most likely originates from Basque country. It is an excellent blending grape, known for making the exquisite Cheval-Blanc. Franc is a little hardier on a vine than Sauvignon, but drinks smoothly at the table.
