Light to medium-bodied, it gives wonderful concentration and layers in the mouth—fruit, earth and spice are all here—with very fine, grainy tannins and a very energetic, almost buzzing, long and layered finish.
A firm, elegant, pure-tasting style, with dark currant and plum tart flavors that are supported by crisp acidity. Hints of tangerine and dried sage show on the finish.
Rich and explosive, with plenty of fruit, the Block 8 also has plenty of supporting structure to wrap all the elements together.
Stemmy, earthy and brimming in black tea, this is a quite savory, dense and meaty red wine, made in an elegant style with understated ripeness. Elements of crushed rock give it a mineral edginess that accentuates the acidity and note of saline around wild strawberry and rhubarb.
