94Vinous / IWC of exquisite nuance...shows the more understated side of the vintage off to great effect. Everything is in miniature in a Pinot that speaks with a quiet, reserved voice. And yet, it's all there. Bright and vibrant... A closing flourish of red-toned fruit and floral overtones add to the wine's allure.

93Wine Spectator

Vibrant, with lively acidity backing the concentrated currant, cherry and raspberry flavors. Reveals chiseled minerality midpalate. The powerful finish is pure and focused.

92+ Jeb Dunnuck

...spice-filled bouquet of ripe cherries, cranberries, flowery incense, smoke, and forest floor. It's a rounded, nicely textured 2017 that has sweet tannins, plenty of upfront fruit, and a great finish. It's another beautifully complete wine.

United States, California, Sonoma, Sonoma Coast

Sonoma Coast AVA runs from San Pablo Bay in the south to Mendocino County in the north. It includes 7,000 vineyard acres and earned AVA status in 1987. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean means it gets double the rainfall of nearby inland appellations and the ocean gives the appellation a relatively cool climate. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can thrive in these conditions, and there are numerous producers making critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Red Wine, Pinot Noir

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
