Pale garnet core to a rosy-brick rim. A subtly sophisticated nose of candied cherries, tobacco leaf, mulling spices and fruit cake (in a good way). Brighter fruit tones show on the medium+ palate along with very fine tannins, red and dark fruits intermingle with tobacco, spice tones, and anise. Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Intense red garnet color. Bouquet is elegant with intense aromas of undergrowth. Palate is balanced, enveloping and velvety. Soft tannins. Pairs well with red meats, roasted meats, game, truffle-based dishes and aged cheeses.
