An even more elegant nose of spicy and floral red and black pinot fruit is nuanced by subtle traces of sandalwood, Asian-style tea, soy and anise. There is fine concentration to the relatively powerful sappy and mouth coating flavors that are shaped by wonderfully fine-grained tannins on the hugely long, balanced and moderately austere finale.
Slightly high-toned, chocolatey-ripe aromas of black raspberry, menthol and minerals. Fat and sweet... A bit darker and earthier in its fruit character. Sweetness builds with air.
