RATINGS

92Burghound.com

There is lovely sense of underlying tension to the elegantly textured and notably mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of dry extract...

91+ Vinous / IWC

Restrained aromas of orchard fruits, orange peel, acacia blossom and stone. ...showing a hint of pineapple, but also quite dry and tight.

88-90+ The Wine Advocate

The palate is nicely balanced with leesy, citrus fruit and moderate weight, perhaps showing the acidity on the finish.

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet, La Truffiere

La Truffiere is a 7.2-acre acre Premier Cru vineyard in the Puligny-Montrachet appellation of Burgundy’s Cote de Beaune. It is up the slope and west of many of the appellation’s Premier Cru vineyards, and in fact wasn’t farmed as a vineyard until the mid-20th century, when the land was cleared of rocks and scrub. The elevation is 300 to 380 meters.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay, 1er (Premier) Cru

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
