Fantastic aromas of black licorice and tar on this. So much dark fruit and some orange peel, too. Full body, round and intense with a big presence up front. A big kiss to the palate.
Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, mint, pine and rose peal develop in the glass. Bright in its aromatics, but with plenty of ripe, candied overtones...
Spicy, toasty, charry oak adds texture, flavor and structure to this youngster, joining a core of currant, blackberry, loamy earth and crushed rock that gives this a sense of place and presence.
