RATINGS

98Jeb Dunnuck

...full-bodied richness, a thick, unctuous texture, and a huge mid-palate, it offers a kaleidoscope of crème de cassis, blueberries, smoked tobacco, white chocolate, and lead pencil aromas and flavors.

96+ Robert M. Parker Jr.

...enormous graphite notes intermixed with blackberry liqueur, blueberry fruit as well as black raspberry and cassis. It is opaque purple and full-bodied, with a multidimensional personality and killer finish of close to one minute.

95James Suckling

Fantastic aromas of black licorice and tar on this. So much dark fruit and some orange peel, too. Full body, round and intense with a big presence up front. A big kiss to the palate.

91Vinous / IWC

Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, mint, pine and rose peal develop in the glass. Bright in its aromatics, but with plenty of ripe, candied overtones...

90Wine Spectator

Spicy, toasty, charry oak adds texture, flavor and structure to this youngster, joining a core of currant, blackberry, loamy earth and crushed rock that gives this a sense of place and presence.

TYPE

Red Wine, Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the most widely grown grape varieties, it can be found in nearly every wine growing region. A cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a hardy vine that produces a full-bodied wine with high tannins and great aging potential.
