RATINGS

91-93Vinous / IWC

...an attractive marine element, hints of kelp and shucked oyster shell percolating through the red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine line of acidity, lightly spiced with a detailed and quite peppery finish. Excellent.

90-92The Wine Advocate

Revealing aromas of cherries, sweet berries, warm spices and raw cocoa... is medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with a rich core of fruit underpinned by powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chewy finish.

90Wine Spectator

Boasts black cherry and black currant fruit accented by earth and a touch of chocolate. Offers beefy tannins that lurk in the background, while the dense structure clamps down on the finish.

90-93Burghound.com

A perfumed and pretty mix features notes of both red and dark cherry liqueur along with floral and exotic tea nuances. This too possesses a highly attractive mouthfeel with slightly better mid-palate density to the relatively powerful flavors that are a mix of refinement and punch...

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, 1er (Premier) Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
